Happy Halloween!

I know that may be a strange greeting, as you may know a church or Christian that would never put “happy” and “Halloween” together in the same sentence. But I happen to know that several families at New Vision love to bless their neighborhoods on trick or treat night. The Bevers are going to continue their tradition of having a bonfire in our front yard, handing out treats to the kids, and catching up with neighbors. So indeed it is a happy Halloween!

We are inviting the boys’ friends and families for s’mores right after trick or treating, 7-8:30 PM at our place. You are invited to come by and say hi! 1009 Evergreen Dr. Waukesha

THIS SUNDAY is praise & worship night! On fifth Sundays New Vision spends a more extended time in prayer and worship through music. This weekend we will be singing the story of Jonah. I’ve planned it out ahead of time and a few folks will be facilitating at church. I will be joining us via Zoom this weekend. If you have a tradition of blessing your neighbors on trick or treat, I invite you NOT to cancel this year, but to consider setting up a device from wherever you are and listen in while you love on your neighbors!

My prayer for us Sunday is that we spend time meditating on the goodness and mercy of God. As Jonah said, “I know that you are a gracious God and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love, and ready to relent from punishing.” Ask God now for a soft heart to experience his love and conviction to love and forgive others.

• When you sign in, mute yourself.
• There will be a number of videos. If you are happy about the way they come through Zoom then you don’t have to do anything.
• If you would like better quality, you can find the YouTube playlist, here (open in a new tab).
• When the group at church pushes play on the videos, you will need to disconnect from Zoom audio. When you are ready to join the group on Zoom again just press “join audio”
