A Church in the Neighborhood

We don’t want to attract you to just another church building or church experience.

We do have a building. And some of us do meet there on Sundays. We would love for you to join us; it is where some of our best conversations happen. But when we invite people to “come to church” we are inviting them to encounter Jesus-shaped love. For New Vision, that invitation might also be to a home, or coffee shop, an office, a break room, or a game night.

Our Sunday gatherings are a time to encounter the life and teachings of Jesus and his earliest followers, consider how a first-century movement should affect our lives thousands of years later, and let the living Jesus change our lives and show us how to love others.

None of us have all the answers. We do hope to understand more next year than we do now. Many of us have become convinced of the truth of Jesus, he has changed our lives, and we look forward to meeting with our spiritual brothers and sisters on a weekly basis. That’s how the very first church got started!

At New Vision you can find “missionaries” [1] to:

  • Neighborhoods in Waukesha, Pewaukee, and Delafield
  • Coffee Shops
  • A building that welcomes hundreds every week for recovery meetings, education, conferences, and American-style worship events.
  • A parking lot that serves motorists off of I-94
  • Elementary, Middle, and High Schools all over Lake Country
  • A pizza delivery vehicle
[1] Most Americans associate “missionary” with a someone with an American background who serves in Christian ministry in another country. As American culture becomes more secular, Christian leaders from other countries are coming TO US! They are missionaries too. And every Christian is called to be a missionary wherever they are at. How? Just by living out the love of Jesus in their own lives and towards their own neighbors of all kinds. So, we at New Vision often talk of ourselves as missionaries…to Lake Country WI!
