The Rest Stop Hospitality & Meeting House* has grown out of New Vision Church’s desire to meet the needs of people in our neighborhood. When Pastors Brett and Christina arrived in 2017 they quickly noticed that the parking lot was frequented by motorists off of I-94. Out of a desire to be more than a parking lot, they asked “how can we serve not just those who come to our building for church, but the almost equal number of people who come to our parking lot?” That question birthed the beginnings of “The Rest Stop Hospitality & Meeting House.”A
New Vision Church’s conviction as Jesus followers** is not only to meet together on Sundays, but also to provide hospitality to neighbors and strangers. Like the yard sign says, “no matter where you are from, we’re glad you’re our neighbor.” We invite you to encounter our property off the highway like the well of Jesus’ day: a place of surprising help, rest, and healing in Jesus’ name. We hope some visits will turn into friendships!

We are looking for family counselors, art therapists, leaders in the supportive housing & community sector, tutors, immigration services, exercise classes, and parent & child gatherings.

Those traveling on I-94 to respectfully utilize our parking lot to meet your needs: to take a break, use your cellphone, get help for your vehicle, eat a picnic lunch, walk your dogs, and care for your children. We will be working on providing for those basic needs with signage, picnic tables, dog waste bags, vending, and phone numbers to get help. We hope to offer a charging station and public access to bathrooms in the future. We consider you a friend, no matter your background, even if we only know you for 5 minutes!A
